Why would anyone want or need to extend there handlebar length?

1) Some older city bar designs (like the Nitto Promenades) were not designed to fit bar mounted shifters along with brake levers and grips.

2) A lot of older mountain bikes had narrow bars than what we prefer using today

3).Sometimes we make a mistake when trimming down bars,

Attach these to your bar ends to add 30 to 60mm (over 2.25") to each side of your bar.  

• For city/MTB bars with 22.2mm OD.

• Aluminum construction

• Two extender units so you can choose to lengthen your bars 30 or 60mm per side. A total of 120mm or 4.75". Screw-on end caps included.

• Improved expansion mechanism

• Comes in black or silver

• DO NOT use on bars that have been partially machined out at the ends (to fit bar end shifters or reverse levers) This includes Soma Oxford, Sparrow and 3-speed II bars

• ID not sized to accept reverse levers or bar end shifters.

• Requires a 6mm hex key (at least 20mm long) to install
